Established in 2023, the High School Female Flag Football Student-Athlete of the Year Award
honors a female flag football player who distinguishes herself on the field and in the areas of
scholarship, sportsmanship, citizenship, and leadership.
The 2024 High School Female Flag Football Student-Athlete of the Year Award goes to
Concord High School’s Kaylin Williams.
When it comes to athletic success, few athletes can match the all-around accomplishments of
Kaylin Williams. In addition to serving as Flag Football team captain for 2023 and 2024,
Williams has earned honors in Tennis (All-Conference 2022 & 2023), Women’s Basketball
(Team MVP 2023), and Track and Field (Regional Qualifier 2023 & 2024).
Academically, Williams has distinguished herself as a member of the National Honor Society,
the Spanish National Honor Society, and has earned a class rank of two out of 224 students.
Williams was awarded the Concord High School All-Grade Social Studies Award in 2022 and
placed on the school honor roll for three years.
Williams is considered an excellent teammate and is always willing to sacrifice for the good of
the team. She has organized transportation so team members could travel safely to and from

practices, created signups for team meals and snacks, organized a team tennis retreat, and
assisted with team birthday celebrations and senior nights. Williams has even created social
media Game Day Graphics to help raise awareness and support her teams.
Teachers and school officials also know they can count on Williams for leadership in student
organizations. Williams has served as DECA Club Vice President, Historian for the National
Honor Society, Vice President for the Beta Club, Student Council Senior Representative, and as
a positive influence in too many clubs and groups to mention.
Williams is also actively involved in her community as Co-Chair of Cabarrus County Think,
Lead, Create and Change Youth Advisory Council, as Vice President of the Keystone Club at
the Boys and Girls Club, as well as volunteering with Junior Achievement, Financial Literacy,
Concord Parks and Rec, Saint James the Greater Catholic Church, Special Olympics, and El
Puente Hispano.
